Semester 2 – Project #2:  Repetition & Rhythm - Functional or Sculptural 

 

Due Date: Friday, Feb. 5th (8 classes to work)

             

Project Description:

• Create a functional or sculptural piece that has repetition of an organic and/or geometric shape.  Shapes should be repeated 5 or more times.

• Through the repetition of elements (shapes), there should be an identifiable visual rhythm.

 

Project Requirements:

• Repeat 1 or more shapes (organic/geometric). Shape must be repeated 5 or mcqaore times.

• Create visual rhythm through your repetition of shapes.

• Can be functional or sculptural.

• Designs can include patterns, symbols, shapes, and/or textures.

• Your sculpture should be able to fit in your locker unless discussed with teacher.

 

Project Steps: 

• First you will need to brainstorm and sketch 3 different ideas .

• After you sketch & get approval from teacher, start your sculpture.
